Good morning from Brussels! Or at least from the courtyard outside of my room. The above picture is a panorama made from several images stitched together. The sun is just coming out here as everyone back home is getting ready for bed. I only arrived yesterday afternoon, so my internal clock is a little off, and I’ve been up since around 5 a.m.
In any case, I’ll be here in Belgium for the next two months working as an intern for AP Television. After that I’m going to travel around Europe for at least another month. I’ll try to update this blog frequently with photos and information about what I’m doing.
In the mean time, I still don’t really know how to go about daily life here. Last night I met up with the group from Mizzou, and we tried walking around the area near our housing, located here, to find food. We couldn’t find anything and ended up cooking some pasta in a student’s room.
We’re all pretty clueless about everything so far, and of the six Mizzou students here, I have the most French experience with two years in high school!
Here Erika and Morgan try to locate something on a map, but struggle with the French. I think there’s going to be a lot of this.
But the mysteriousness of the city so far is part of its intrigue. Everything is slightly different, so its fascinating to see the world through new eyes.
Hopefully I can show that through pictures here.
Keep it comming Mr. Buell
Nice job on the stitch – I see no tell tale signs. I am looking forward to some updates.
have so much fun while you are there! I really like this map shot but I wish it was a little darker/contrastier.
Jim, I really enjoy your photos and your stories of teach photo. I am learning a lot through the websites. Definately keep it coming!
