I’m thinking about doing my one day story on Abbie Garlich, the MU pole vaulter I shot pictures of last week. There are a couple options. There is no home track and field event until February 20, so I don’t have enough time to work on that. But it might be better to focus more on an athlete training and practicing if I’m looking to capture the story from different points of view.
The other option would be to travel to Ames, Iowa, on Friday for the team’s next event. But that’s five hours away, and I’m not sure I have time.
Is training and practicing enough to make a one day story work? Thoughts?
